When you create an account we collect your display name and email address. When you use Courtelo we collect your match results and ratings, and - with your permission - your device location, which we convert into a city, metro area, and state. We also automatically collect device information (type, operating system), basic usage data, and your IP address for security and anti-abuse.
We use your information to provide and maintain the App, calculate ratings and leaderboards, show your profile and rank to other players, place you on location-based leaderboards, send notifications you enable, detect and prevent cheating and fraud, and improve the App.
If you grant location permission, we use your device's location once to determine your city, metro area, and state. We store only these derived place names - not a continuous record of your precise coordinates. Location is used to place you on local, metro, and state leaderboards. You can decline or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; without it, location-based leaderboards will be unavailable to you.
Your public profile - display name, rank, win/loss record, reliability score, city, metro, state, and match history - is visible to other players in the App. We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that run the App (for example, our database and hosting provider), and when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, store authentication tokens in encrypted device storage, and enforce row-level security so users can only access data they are authorized to see.
You can access and update your information in the App, and permanently delete your account and associated data at any time. To request a copy of your data, contact us at jrockstudio19@gmail.com.
If you enable push notifications, we send alerts about your matches and rank. You can disable them at any time in the app or your device settings.
Courtelo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at jrockstudio19@gmail.com and we will remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
